Hello Policy Committee,
We have some policies for your review. This one is on Atendance. You will see 2 attachments. One is the Policy as it will appear in the Board Manual, the ohter is the Allendance language as it appears in the Student Parent handbook.
Both are Board approved, but becuase the Handbook is reviewed each year, it ihas more detail while the Board manual stays more constant an unchanged year to year.

We might want to think about having a different category for school excused absences. It could just be called school excused and have an additional limit of days. In the US high schools typically limit school activities to 10 days which are not included in regular excused absences. That way students still can participate as much as they want and not feel like they need to come to school when sick.
